Loosely Inked Storyboards

I finish most of my storyboards in pencil. I inked these, but I tried to work loose, to keep a spontaneous feel to them (click to enlarge).

Monochrome Storyboards

Check out these monochromatic boards I did for a car dealership ad. It's a parody of the famous "You had me at 'Hello'" scene from Jerry McGuire (click to enlarge).

Chalky Storyboards

Before the storyboards, the client requested these six, one-panel pieces, each summing up an idea for a spot (click to enlarge).

Rough Storyboards

Here are some rough storyboards I did for a spot about a southern college. I did a beautiful cleaned up and shaded version of these, but you'll just have to take my word for it. The production company never gave them back to me. Anyway, I think you can still get a good idea what they looked like from these roughs (click to enlarge).

Stick Storyboards

Here's a pamphlet I wrote and illustrated some years back, for the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival. It's a brief primer on the do's and don'ts of making a movie. They still use it every year, to inspire the contestants of their annual high school filmmaking competition. It's drawn in the style of cartoony stick figure storyboards, so check it out (click to enlarge).
